Beach

Standing by the shoreline

a man contemplates the sea

No worry for the future
or where his life will lead

Staring at the endless waves
hypnotized as the tide recedes

Transported beyond his past
he is able to live his dreams

Walking in the dampened sands
crabs scrabbling near his feet

He listens to his heart's demands
he lets his soul fly free

Gazing towards the horizon
as the colors set the sun

He finally feels himself complete
content, his day is done.
