Goldfish

         

    Is my goldfish really satisfied
    swimming in his sea

    Content to swim round and round
    looking out the glass at me

    I wonder what he thinks of
    while he's looking out at me 

    In the ticking ten seconds
    of his repeating destiny 

    Does he dream of a larger bowl
    to swim a bigger sea

    Or is he happy swimming round and round
    looking out his world at me

    I think he must long for love
    for a wife and family 

    So he doesn't have to be alone
    looking out the glass at me
