Spider to the Fly

    The fly saw the spider
    pondering his demise

    The spider weaved a message
    in a web filled surprise

    The fly stayed motionless
    trapped in the intricate design

    The spider danced triumphantly
    while the fly fought and tried

    The spider paused expectantly
    as the fly so vainly cried

    "Don't eat me Mr. Spider
    I'm much to young to die"

    The spider nodded knowingly
    and this was his reply

    "I wish I could help you
    but my appetite won't be denied"
